Stems and MIDI from your AI songs

MusicTune AI is a mobile app that makes an AI song and then splits it into stems: vocals, drums, bass, other and an instrumental track, plus a MIDI file, as WAV and .mid downloads on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone. It works on songs made in MusicTune AI, for personal use: practice, a karaoke version, a remix in your own DAW. It does not upload or split songs made elsewhere.

How to get stems and MIDI

Install MusicTune AI on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and make a song: describe it in Simple mode, paste your lyrics in Custom mode, pick a photo or use an occasion template. Each creation gives you two versions, usually in about a minute.
Open the version you want and choose Create Stems & MIDI.
Confirm. The app shows how many song credits it uses before you tap; creating stems uses more credits than making a song.
Wait a few moments. The app says Creating stems… and tells you when they’re ready.
Tap Open Stems and download the tracks as WAV files and the MIDI as a .mid file.

What you get

Vocals: the sung part on its own.
Drums, Bass and Other: the rest of the arrangement, separated.
Instrumental: the whole song without the vocals, for a karaoke or backing version.
MIDI: the notes as a .mid file, to open in any DAW or notation app.

Good to know

Stems and MIDI work only on songs made in MusicTune AI. There is no audio upload or import, so it can’t remove vocals from, split or remix a song made somewhere else.
Creating stems uses song credits, more than making a song; the app shows the number before you confirm. Your first creation in the app is free; after that a short ad gives a free creation every 12 hours, or use MusicTune Pro or a song pack.
Stems and MIDI are for personal, non-commercial use, like the songs themselves. Our Terms don’t grant commercial rights: no monetized videos, no streaming releases, no ads, no business or client use, and no Content ID or copyright registration.
MIDI is extracted from the audio, so it’s a close transcription, not the original score.
Songs are made and processed in the app; you need an internet connection.

Stems and MIDI FAQ

Can I split a song from Spotify, YouTube or my files into stems?

No. MusicTune AI has no audio upload or import, so it can’t separate, remix or remove vocals from songs made elsewhere. Stems and MIDI are for songs made in the app.

Which stems do I get?

Vocals, Drums, Bass, Other and Instrumental, each as a WAV file, plus the MIDI as a .mid file.

Does it work on Android as well as iPhone?

Yes. Stems and MIDI work the same way on iPhone and iPad (iOS 15 or later) and on Android (7.0 or later).

How many credits does it cost?

More than making a song; the exact number is shown in the app before you confirm. Credits come from the free first creation, the ad reward every 12 hours, MusicTune Pro or a one-time song pack.

Can I use the stems in my own music?

For personal, non-commercial use, yes: practice, a karaoke version, a remix you keep or share with friends. The Terms don’t allow releases, monetized videos, ads or business use, on any plan.

Is the MIDI exact?

It’s extracted from the finished audio, so it’s a close transcription of the melody and parts rather than an original score. Expect to tidy it in your DAW.

Do I need MusicTune Pro?

Creating stems uses song credits, which you can get free (first creation, then an ad every 12 hours), from a one-time song pack or with Pro. MP3 downloads of the full song need Pro; stems download as WAV files.

Is it free?

Your first creation is free and gives you two versions. After that you can watch a short ad for a free creation once every 12 hours (when an ad is available), or use MusicTune Pro or a song pack. See pricing.
