How to make a funny song
- Install MusicTune AI on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and open it. No sign-up needed.
- Tap Create and stay in Simple mode.
- Describe the song in up to 300 characters, with the name and the material: “A dramatic power ballad roasting my friend Tom, who is always 40 minutes late, calls every dog ‘buddy’ and has worn the same hoodie since 2019.”
- Pick a mood such as Whimsical, Energetic or Suspenseful (for mock-serious), and a style that makes the joke land: opera, country, Hip Hop and Rap, a boy-band ballad.
- Tap Generate song. You get two versions, usually in about a minute. Read the lyrics before you send.
Your own jokes, word for word
Use Custom mode and write the lyrics yourself, up to 5,000 characters, with every name and inside joke exactly as you want it. - The AI isn’t guaranteed to sing a name exactly as you say it; read the lyrics, or write them yourself in Custom mode.
- It can’t imitate a famous comedian, singer or song: no celebrity or sound-alike voices, and descriptions can’t use artist names. The AI writes an original song.

If you want every word exactly right, write your own lyrics in Custom mode and MusicTune AI will sing them.
Can it do a rap?
Yes. Pick a style from Hip Hop and Rap in Simple mode, or write your own rhymes in Custom mode and the AI raps them as written.
Can it sound like a famous comedy song or singer?
No. There are no celebrity or sound-alike voices, and song descriptions can’t use artist names. The AI writes an original song in the style and mood you choose.
Can I post it or play it at the party?
For personal use, yes: send the link, play it at the party or post it on a personal account that isn’t monetized. Our Terms don’t grant commercial rights, so no monetized YouTube or TikTok, no streaming releases, no ads and no business use.
Which languages can it be in?
In Simple mode the song is written and sung in your app language; 13 are available: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese, Tagalog and Korean. In Custom mode your own lyrics are sung as you wrote them.
How long does it take?
Usually a minute or two, and you get two versions. In most cases you can start listening while the song is still being made.
