A song for your class of 2027, with everyone’s names
Make a song for your class of 2027 with everyone’s names in it, on your iPhone, iPad or Android phone. There is no class template, and you don’t need one: write the lyrics yourself in Custom mode, up to 5,000 characters, and MusicTune AI sings every name exactly as you wrote it, in the style you pick. Or describe the school, the teachers and the year in Simple mode and let the AI write the words. You get two versions, usually in about a minute, and the first creation is free.

How to make a class song with every name
- Install MusicTune AI on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and open it. No sign-up needed.
- Tap Create and switch to Custom mode.
- Under Lyrics, write or paste the song, up to 5,000 characters: a chorus about the class, a verse for each row, friend group or homeroom with the names, a last verse for the teachers. Give it a Title (“Class of 2027”).
- Pick a Style (pop, pop rock, hip hop, rock, or something sillier from the 300+ in the list), a Mood (Joyful, Energetic, Reflective), the Voice (female, male or auto) and the Tempo.
- Tap Create song. You get two versions, usually in about a minute, with cover art. Listen to both and check the names.
Fitting thirty names into one song
- Roll-call verses. Four names a line, one line per friend group, table or homeroom: “Maya, Jonah, Priya and Dre / ran the yearbook, saved the day.” It doesn’t have to rhyme every time; the AI sings what’s there.
- Keep the chorus for the class. The school, the year, the thing you all remember. The names live in the verses.
- Spell it the way it sounds. “Shawn” for Seán, “Nee-ah” for Nia. Nicknames count, if that’s what everyone calls them.
- Room to spare. 5,000 characters is a long song: thirty names with a line each fits, with space left for the teachers and the trip. Custom mode has a section-by-section structure editor, so the verses and the chorus sit where you put them.
- Let the AI draft it. Write with AI (MusicTune Pro) turns your notes (the list of names, the memories, the year) into a draft you can edit line by line before the song is made.
- Two versions, two listens. Each creation makes two versions; keep the one that says the tricky names best.
No time to write? Describe it
Tap Create, stay in Simple mode and type under Describe your song, up to 300 characters: the school, the year, the teachers, the trip, the running joke. “An upbeat pop anthem for the class of 2027 at Northview High: the senior trip to Chicago, Mr. Okafor’s chemistry puns, the pep rallies, and all of us going our separate ways.” Pick a Style and a Mood and tap Create song. The AI writes the lyrics and the title. A few names fit in 300 characters; for all of them, use Custom mode.
Where it goes
- The last-day-of-school playlist, or the opener at the graduation party.
- The class group chat: one link, and everyone hears their name.
- Yearbook signing day, played from a phone, or your own end-of-year video on a personal account.
- A thank-you song for the teachers, from the whole class.
- A kindergarten or elementary class song, short and bouncy, for the parents’ group chat on the last day.
- The ten-year reunion of the class of 2017: the same names, a Reflective mood.
- A song from the class photo: photo to song writes a song inspired by the picture.
Good to know
- Everyone’s names will be public. Songs made in Simple or Custom mode appear in the public Explore feed by default; only MusicTune Pro members can switch Show in Explore off when they create a song. Anyone with the link can play it. Use first names or nicknames, and ask the class first.
- Personal use. Our Terms allow personal, non-commercial use: the party, the group chat, a personal post that isn’t monetized. A school’s official release, its website or marketing, or a monetized channel isn’t covered, and Pro doesn’t add commercial rights.
- Pronunciation. In Custom mode every word is sung as written, but an unusual name can come out differently. Listen to both versions, and respell what doesn’t land.
- An original song. There are no celebrity or sound-alike voices, and descriptions can’t use artist names. It can’t remake the school’s alma mater or a famous graduation song; it writes a new one.
- Length. Songs are usually 2 to 5 minutes; you can’t set an exact length or BPM.
Class song FAQ
Can MusicTune AI make a song for my class of 2027 with everyone’s names?
Yes. Write the lyrics with every name in Custom mode (up to 5,000 characters), pick a style, mood, voice and tempo, and MusicTune AI sings them as written and produces the music. For a song about the class without the full roll call, describe the school, the teachers and the year in Simple mode (up to 300 characters). Two versions, usually in about a minute, on iPhone, iPad and Android.
How do I get thirty names into one song?
Write them into the verses in Custom mode: four names a line, a line per friend group, and keep the chorus for the class. 5,000 characters is enough for thirty names with a line each, plus the teachers and the trip. Spell tricky names the way they sound.
Can the AI write the lyrics for me?
Yes. In Simple mode the AI writes the lyrics and the title from your description, with room for a few names. In Custom mode, “Write with AI” (MusicTune Pro) drafts the lyrics from your notes and the list of names, and you edit every line before the song is made.
Will it pronounce every name correctly?
In Custom mode every name you wrote is sung, but an unusual one may be pronounced differently. Listen to both versions, and if a name doesn’t land, spell it the way it sounds and make the song again. In Simple mode the AI isn’t guaranteed to use every name you mention.
Can we make it together as a class?
One person creates the song. Collect a line from each classmate in the group chat, put them together in Custom mode, and share the link so everyone can hear it; it opens in a browser, no app needed.
Is the song private? Everyone’s names are in it.
Not by default. Songs made in Simple or Custom mode appear in the public Explore feed; only MusicTune Pro members can switch “Show in Explore” off when they create a song. Anyone with the link can play it. Use first names and ask the class before you share.
Can the school play it at graduation or post it?
The songs are for personal, non-commercial use: the class party, the group chat, a personal post that isn’t monetized. A school’s official release, website, marketing or a monetized channel isn’t covered by our Terms, and Pro doesn’t add commercial rights.
Which languages can it be in?
In Simple mode the song is written and sung in your app language; 13 are available: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese, Tagalog and Korean. In Custom mode your own lyrics are sung as you wrote them.
How long does it take?
Usually a minute or two, and you get two versions. In most cases you can start listening while the song is still being made.
Is it free?
Your first creation is free and gives you two versions. After that you can watch a short ad for a free creation once every 12 hours (when an ad is available), or use MusicTune Pro or a song pack. See pricing.
