MusicTune AI is a lyrics generator that doesn’t stop at the words. On your iPhone, iPad or Android phone it writes the lyrics from a short description, gives the song a title, sings it and produces the music, usually in about a minute, in two versions. Prefer to approve every line first? In Custom mode the “Write with AI” helper (MusicTune Pro) drafts the lyrics for you to edit, or you write them yourself, and the app sings them as written. How to generate lyrics and hear them sung
- Install MusicTune AI on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and open it. No sign-up needed.
- Tap Create and stay in Simple mode.
- Under Describe your song, type up to 300 characters: who or what it is about, the feeling, one or two real details, and any name you want in it. “A warm acoustic song for my sister Ana, who moved to Berlin, misses our mom’s kitchen and still calls every Sunday.”
- Pick a Style (tap All styles for the full list of 300+) and a Mood, or leave them to the AI.
- Tap Create song. The AI writes the lyrics and a title, sings them and produces the music. Two versions, usually in about a minute, with the lyrics shown in the app. Read them before you share.
Draft the lyrics first, then have them sung
If you want to read and change the words before anyone sings them, use Custom mode. Tap Custom, then Write with AI. In the Generate your lyrics sheet, describe the theme, the story or the vibe and tap Generate lyrics. The draft goes into the Lyrics box, where you can rewrite any line, cut a verse or change the chorus. Give it a Title, choose the Voice (Female, Male or Auto) and the Tempo (Slow, Medium, Fast or Auto), pick a style and a mood, and tap Create song.
The “Write with AI” lyric writer is part of MusicTune Pro. Without Pro you still have both ways in: Simple mode writes and sings the lyrics for you (you read them once the song is ready), and Custom mode sings lyrics you wrote yourself.
Already have the lyrics? It sings them as written
Type or paste your own lyrics in Custom mode, up to 5,000 characters, and MusicTune AI sings them word for word, in whatever language you wrote them. A section-by-section structure editor lets you lay the song out in verses, choruses and a bridge. What to put in the description
- The who and the what: a name, a relationship, the occasion. The AI writes around what you give it; a vague description gets vague lyrics.
- Two or three true details: the Sunday calls, the red bike, the song you both hate. They become the lines people remember.
- The feeling and the ending: hopeful, bittersweet, a joke in the last chorus.
- The sound, not an artist: descriptions can’t use artist names, and there are no celebrity or sound-alike voices. Say “slow piano ballad, warm female vocal” instead.
- Tricky names, spelled as they sound (“Shawn” for Seán). The AI isn’t guaranteed to use a name, so read both versions.
Good to know
- In Simple mode the lyrics are written and sung in your app language (13 are available). In Custom mode your own words are sung as written, in any language.
- Simple mode writes the lyrics and the song in one go, so you can’t change the words before they are sung. To approve every line first, use Custom mode: your own lyrics, or a Write with AI draft (Pro) that you edit.
- There is no lyrics-only mode: every creation is a complete song, usually 2 to 5 minutes long, with vocals, music, a title and cover art.
- Songs made in Simple or Custom mode appear in the public Explore feed by default; only MusicTune Pro members can switch off Show in Explore when they create a song. Anyone with the link can play it.
- Our Terms allow personal, non-commercial use: listening, sharing with friends, a personal account that isn’t monetized. No streaming releases, no monetized channels, no business use, and Pro doesn’t add commercial rights.

Can MusicTune AI write song lyrics and then sing them?

Do I have to write the lyrics myself?
No. In Simple mode the AI writes them from your description. If you would rather write them, Custom mode sings your own lyrics as written (up to 5,000 characters), and the “Write with AI” helper (MusicTune Pro) can draft them for you to edit.
Can I read and edit the lyrics before the song is made?
In Custom mode, yes: write them yourself or let Write with AI (Pro) draft them, then change any line before you tap Create song. In Simple mode the lyrics and the song are made together, so you read them once the song is ready; if a line is off, make it again with a more specific description.
Can I get just the lyrics, without the music?
MusicTune AI is a song maker, not a lyrics-only tool: every creation is a complete song with lyrics, vocals, music, a title and cover art. The closest thing is the Write with AI draft in Custom mode (Pro), which you can read and edit before the song is made.
Will it use the names and details I give it?
The AI writes the lyrics from the details you enter, but it isn’t guaranteed to sing every name, and an unusual name may be pronounced differently. Read the lyrics in the app before you share the song. If you want every word exactly right, write your own lyrics in Custom mode and MusicTune AI will sing them.
Can it write lyrics in the style of a famous artist?
No. Descriptions can’t use artist names, and there are no celebrity or sound-alike voices. Describe the sound and the feeling instead, and the AI writes an original song.
Which languages can it be in?
In Simple mode the song is written and sung in your app language; 13 are available: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese, Tagalog and Korean. In Custom mode your own lyrics are sung as you wrote them.
How long does it take?
Usually a minute or two, and you get two versions. In most cases you can start listening while the song is still being made.
Can I post the song or put it on Spotify?
For personal use, yes: send the link, play it for friends or post it on a personal account that isn’t monetized. Our Terms don’t grant commercial rights, so no monetized YouTube or TikTok, no streaming releases, no ads and no business use.
