How to make a song for your best friend
- Install MusicTune AI on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and open it. No sign-up needed.
- On the Home screen, under For an occasion, tap Friendship.
- Under Friend’s name, type her name the way you say it: “Jess”, not “Jessica Marie”, if that’s what you call her.
- Under Personal touch, add the memories, the inside jokes and a theme: how you met in seventh grade, the road trip with the flat tire, the way she answers the phone, what you want her to know.
- Pick the song language under Language (English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese or Arabic) and tap Generate song. You get two versions, usually in a minute or two. Read the lyrics before you send.
Rather describe it? A ballad, a rap, a roast
Tap Create, stay in Simple mode and type under Describe your song, up to 300 characters, with her name and the material: “An upbeat pop song for my best friend Priya, who has been my person since we were nine, cries at dog videos and always knows when I need a call.” Pick a Style (300+ to choose from) and a Mood such as Joyful, Reflective or Whimsical, and tap Create song. Good to know
- The AI writes the lyrics from what you enter, but it isn’t guaranteed to sing the name exactly as you say it, and an unusual name may be pronounced differently. Read the lyrics in the app before you send, or write them yourself in Custom mode.
- Songs made in Simple or Custom mode appear in the public Explore feed by default; only MusicTune Pro members can switch Show in Explore off when they create a song. Anyone with the link can play it, so leave out anything she wouldn’t want strangers to hear, and keep a surprise song’s link to yourself until the day.
- There are no celebrity or sound-alike voices, and descriptions can’t use artist names. It can’t remake “your song” from the radio; it writes a new one about the two of you.

Yes. The Birthday template takes her name and age plus a personal touch and writes the song from them. For a roast, put the stories in Simple mode with “a birthday roast” in the description.
Can it be for a guy, or for a group of friends?
Yes. The Friendship template works for any friend. For a group, put each person’s name and one thing about them in the personal touch, or write one line per friend in Custom mode so every name is sung as written.
Which languages can it be in?
You choose the song language in the template: English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese or Arabic. In Simple mode the song comes out in your app language (13 are available), and in Custom mode your own lyrics are sung as you wrote them.
How long does it take?
Usually a minute or two, and you get two versions. In most cases you can start listening while the song is still being made.
Can I post it on Instagram or play it at her party?
For personal use, yes: send the link, play it at the party or post it on a personal account that isn’t monetized. Our Terms don’t grant commercial rights, so no monetized YouTube or TikTok, no streaming releases, no ads and no business use.
