How to make a rap about your friend
- Install MusicTune AI on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and open it. No sign-up needed.
- Tap Create and stay in Simple mode.
- Under Describe your song, write up to 300 characters: his name, the material and the tone. “A playful diss track about my friend Marcus, who says he’s unbeatable at pool and loses every Friday, orders the same burrito every time and still owes me twenty dollars from 2023.”
- Pick a Style: Rap, Hip hop and Trap are among the style chips the app shows first, and All styles has Drill, Battle rap and Boom bap. Pick a Mood: Energetic, Whimsical, or Angry for mock-serious.
- Tap Create song. Two versions, usually in about a minute, with lyrics, a title and cover art. Read the lyrics before you send.
Your own bars, word for word
Switch to Custom mode and write the verses yourself under Lyrics, up to 5,000 characters. MusicTune AI raps them as written, so his name, the punchlines and the callbacks land exactly where you put them. Give it a Title, choose the Voice (Female, Male or Auto) and the Tempo (Slow, Medium, Fast or Auto), and lay out the verses and the hook section by section in the structure editor.

Keep it kind
Songs made in Simple or Custom mode appear in the public Explore feed by default; only MusicTune Pro members can switch off Show in Explore when they create a song, and anyone with the link can play it. So write the diss track you’d perform to his face: the losing streak, the burrito, the hoodie, not his address, his secrets or anything that would land badly with his boss or his mom. - In Simple mode the song is written and rapped in your app language (13 are available). In Custom mode your own words are performed as written, in any language.
