How to make a song about your pet
- Install MusicTune AI on your iPhone, iPad or Android device and open it. No sign-up needed.
- Tap Create and stay in Simple mode.
- Describe the song in up to 300 characters, for example: “A funny hip-hop song about my cat Pickles, who screams at 5 a.m., steals socks and judges everyone from the top of the fridge.”
- Pick a style (Hip Hop and Rap for a rap, Folk for something sweet; 300+ styles in 11 categories) and a mood, or leave them to the AI, and tap Generate song. You get two versions, usually in about a minute.
Start from a photo
Pick a photo of your pet in Song from a photo and the AI writes a song inspired by what it sees: the scene, the colors, the mood. It doesn’t learn the name from the picture, so for a song that’s clearly about Pickles by name, Simple or Custom mode is the sure way.

Good to know
- The AI writes the lyrics from your description, but it isn’t guaranteed to sing the name, and an unusual pet name may be pronounced differently. Read the lyrics in the app, or write them yourself in Custom mode.
- Songs made in Simple or Custom mode appear in the public Explore feed by default; only MusicTune Pro members can switch that off when they create a song. Anyone with a song’s link can open it.
- Our Terms allow personal, non-commercial use: a pet account that isn’t monetized is fine, a monetized channel or a business is not.
Pet song FAQ
Is there a pet template in the app?
No. Describe the song in Simple mode (up to 300 characters), write your own lyrics in Custom mode (up to 5,000 characters) or start from a photo of your pet. The Birthday template works for a pet’s birthday.
Can it say my dog’s name?
The AI writes the lyrics from the details you enter, but it isn’t guaranteed to sing the name, and an unusual name may be pronounced differently. Read the lyrics in the app before you share the song. If you want every word exactly right, write your own lyrics in Custom mode and MusicTune AI will sing them.
Can I make a funny rap about my cat?
Yes. In Simple mode, describe the cat and the jokes, pick a style from Hip Hop and Rap and a mood like funny, and tap Generate song. For your own rhymes, write them in Custom mode and MusicTune AI raps them as written.
Can I use a photo of my pet?
Yes. In Song from a photo, pick the picture and the AI writes a song inspired by it. Photo songs have no style, voice or tempo choice, and the AI doesn’t know the pet’s name from the photo.
Can I post it on my pet’s Instagram or TikTok?
For personal use, yes: send the link, play it at home or post it on a personal account that isn’t monetized. Our Terms don’t grant commercial rights, so no monetized YouTube or TikTok, no streaming releases, no ads and no business use.
Which languages can it be in?
In Simple mode the song is written and sung in your app language; 13 are available: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Indonesian, Chinese, Tagalog and Korean. In Custom mode your own lyrics are sung as you wrote them.
How long does it take?
Usually a minute or two, and you get two versions. In most cases you can start listening while the song is still being made.
Is it free?
Your first creation is free and gives you two versions. After that you can watch a short ad for a free creation once every 12 hours (when an ad is available), or use MusicTune Pro or a song pack. See pricing.
